Ciara is 4!

Well Ciara is 4!.
We went to Kiddies Kingdom and then back to Leighlin Bridge for some food.
Ciara's friend Sineád, from school came and Leila, Padraic, Fionn, Oran, Maidhc, Darragh, Cormac and of course Lorcan and Áine. Granny came down from Navan too.

Can't believe she's four already.

Center Parc Again.

We went to Center Parc again this year and we were blessed with the weather again. Pat, Elaine and the kids came too for the first week and we then stayed on for 5 days extra. In all the time we were there we didn't have a drop of rain and the lads loved it as usual.

Áine Breaks her Arm!

If it was going to be anyone in the family it was always going to be Áine.
We were at Maidhc's birthday party and there was a bouncy castle. The lads kept getting up on the roof and I'd say we asked, told, threatened them 100 times to get off the roof someone will break their feckin necks.
Well we were nearly right, Áine fell on her arm and broke her wrist. It wasn't a bad break we found out after 7 hours in casulty and she only had a cast for under 3 weeks, a special kind of new fancy one we could peel off ourselves. They only had Red, White or Blue though!

Lorcan's Communion

Well he's done it, chewed the host of our lord.
Lorcan had his first holy communion and wasn't too impressed with the taste.
The ceremony went really well and Lorcan is delighted because the practicing can stop, they practiced everything even the handshake.
Well as the photos show he looked really good and looked so grown up in his suit.
We went to the Rivercourt for food and it was a lovely day so then onto the Castle park.
Lorcan wanted Pizza from dominos for tea and it was his day so....

Ballet Night

The ballet came around again and this time Áine and Ciara were both in it.
Ciara was a diamond and Áine was a fairy. We had a few nerves but both really were very proud of themselves and enjoyed it and I hope you do too.

Natural; Born Killers !

We are able to sleep safe in our beds now, all manner of villains and baddies that lurk in the night will give us a wide berth with 2 natural born killers sleeping under our roof.
Lorcan and Áine both started doing karate and got the first two yellow tips on their white belts (see the yellow strips on their belts). As you can see Lorcan is a serious no nonsense killer where as Áine more of a killer with a smile, wouldn't want to meet either of these in a dark alley way....

Womaniser!

No not me, I'm talking about the kids.
We got a WII game called Just Dance at christmas and the girls love it.
You kind of try to mimic a person on screen dancing while holding the control.

We got to go and see Áine doing her ballet class for the end of the year

Caly's Birthday

We do it for everyone else in the house so we had to do it for Caly's birthday too.
We decided that the 1st of Dec is Caly's birthday and Michelle even baked a cake and all (any excuse). Well without further ado here is the standard Happy Birthday video. He seemed to like his cake too.

Ciara is Doing Ballet

Ciara has been doing the Baby Ballet and absolutely loves it. We got to go for the last class of the year to see what she does here is a quick clip.

Visit Santa in Rathwood

For the second year running we went to visit Santa in Rathwood. We arrived and ate our dinner, the usual Carvery fair. Then we first had to visit Mrs Claus. She told us a story about how the reindeers learned to fly. Then we all got a go at making magic reindeer food (it's magic dust in the food you see).
We then boarded the Santa express train to visit Santa's house in the woods. We were met by an elf who brought us to santa's house. The visit went well and we all got great presents. A train journey back a bit of shopping then home to watch the Late Late Toy show.

Áine getting her first badge in Ladybirds

Áine got her first badge in Ladybirds in a little ceremony. We all went down to see and took a short video for posterity.

Lorcan's Birthday

Lorcan had a party in the house and we got a couple of teachers from the Blackbird Gallery in town where Lorcan and Aine go to art class to come and do art with them. It was brilliant and everyone loved it. You'd hardly know there was 20+ kids in the house.
The video below is from the birthday on the day not the party because Lorcan didn't do the traditional Happy Birthday thing on the big day.

Halloween

We went out trick or treating as usual. Did the whole estate on a very cold night. Came back to the house and did all the traditional halloween games. Here is a quick video of some of the games.

Áine's 6th Birtday

That time of year again and Áine had her 6th birthday. We had a clown in the house and the kids all really seemed to enjoy him. He gave good value for money he was there 3 hours. A little unorthadox but a success. Have a look at the traditional Birthday video.
